Baby #3

If you didn't know I was pregnant, you do now! We haven't been telling people, because we wanted to wait until my first appointment. We did get to tell our families while we were in Arizona that was pretty cool. I had my first doctors appointment today. I have been a little nervous since we found out and it was a relief to go today and find out everything looked good. Since this was planed I have been taking my vitamins, the doctor was very proud and said I was his first patient in over a month that had been taking her vitamins before she got pregnant. They gave me a little ultrasound and the baby looks like an alien/peanut, but that is normal.
I am 9 weeks along and due on August 19. Do I know where we will be living on August 19? Not really, but that is the fun of it, am I right?

Joe- No, sweetie you can only have one.

Cora- (very sweetly) No, Daddy I can only have two.

River- If a bear wanted to do suicide it would be really easy because he would just have to bite himself.

Ezra- What Cora?

Cora- I'm sleeping

Cora-Daddy can I have some of that chocolate?

Joe- That's mommy's chocolate, you'll have to ask her.

Cora- I'm asking you Daddy.

Joe- (To River on a Saturday)Hey you want to go to the store with me?

River- No

Joe- Are you sure? I'll let you get a treat.

River- It's my day off, I don't want to go anywhere.

Joe- What?
Cora- Doggies...ha ha ha ha.

River- Hey Ezra, do you want to play ninjas?
Ezra- I already am.

Cora- I want ice cream, ice cream. I want ice cream, it's my favorite.

Ezra-Whenever you tell on me I get in trouble and whenever I tell on you it's okay.
River-That's because I'm the cute one.

Joan- Do you want a cookie?
Cora- 'kay (with a big smile on her face.)

Joe- Ezra, stop playing around and finish cleaning up.
Ezra-I'm not playing around.
Joe-Oh really, then what are you doing?
Ezra-I'm picking up......with style.

Joan- Ezra, you're pretty funny.
Ezra- Yeah, I'm probably in the top 5 funny people of our family.
River-I don't know maybe top 10.
(There are only 5 in our family)

Joe- Hey River do you know where Ezra is?
River- I don't know, probably at the nerd convention.

Ezra- Dad what's a hobo?
Joe- A hobo is some one who doesn't have a home.
Ezra- No that's a homeless person. A hobo is some one who can't afford cable.

Ezra- Mom do you know why it's so hard to get to the center of the earth?
River- Because it's all blocked off by titanium alloy.
Ezra- Yeah, it's the strongest metal known to man.

Me- (at bed time)-River, stop talking and go to sleep.
River- Mom, I'm just not that good at sleeping.

Ezra- Who's there.
River- Banana.
Ezra- Ugh...not this one.
River- Just do it.
Ezra- Fine. Banana who?....

Ezra- If there was a club for adorable babies, Cora would be the president of it.

Joe-(to Joan) Are you ready to go girlfriend?
Ezra- Dad, she is way past your girlfriend. You have three kids together!

River- What smells like peanut butter?......Oh wait it's my hand.

River-Mom, I need to hide from Ezra.
Joan- You can hide under my bed.
River-Are there any monsters or aliens under it?

Joe- Ezra why didn't you eat any of your pizza?
Ezra- I just didn't know that it would be so heavy on sauce.

Joe- Ouch! River, you just step on my toes.
River- Well, stop wearing flip-flops.
Joe- Are you serious, River?
River- Yes.

River-(after I put lotion on his hands) Thanks Mom, now I will wake up with even younger looking skin.

Ezra- Once a ladybug bit me, but it wasn't radio active.

River-Mom! Dad is using the perfect push up in your room, so he can get more muscles. And he has hair in his armpits!

Joan- Really? Don't you think it would be fun to have a girl?
River- NO! Girls stink! Except for you Mom.

Joan (after discussing setting goals for the new year) -So what is something you want to get better at?
Ezra -Climbing.
Joan -Climbing?
Ezra -Yeah, climbing stuff like, trees, slides....
River -(Whispering to Ezra) Say ladders.
Ezra- Ladders, things like that.

Joan (whispering at church)-It's time to be quiet and think about Jesus.
River- Be quiet and think about cheeses?

Joe-What do I have to do to get you guys to clean up your room without having to tell you five times?
River-Hmmm, I don't know. How about give us thirteen bucks? What? It's true.
