"Merry Christmas and enjoy the nice weather!"
Today it was 25 degrees when I was coming out of Sam's Club. There was a man ringing the Salvation Army bell. Do you know what he said to me? That's right, "Merry Christmas and enjoy the nice weather."
It didn't really hit me until I got to my car. At first I was speechless. Then I was so upset that I started talking to myself. Cora was there, but we didn't have eye contact so I can't count it as a conversation.
Enjoy the nice weather......enjoy the nice weather? Was he serious? I was freezing my butt off. Seriously, I was in my real winter coat, not the cute one, the warm one. I had Cora bundled up in her car seat with that thing that covers the whole car seat to protect her from the elements. Just her little face shows, and there is a flap to cover her face for when its too cold for a baby's face to be outside. My hands were frozen from putting groceries away.
Enjoy the nice weather? What did he mean? Was he joking? It didn't seem like he was trying to be funny. I can't stop thinking about it.
It was seriously 25 degrees!!
I guess I really don't know what I am in for here in Cheyenne.
The lesson I learned was when there isn't wind gusts of 30-45 mph and it's not snowing that minute it means "nice weather."

So I know you got on my blog not to read my rant, but to see pictures of the kids that I should have posted over a month ago.
I know Halloween is long gone, but here are the pictures of the kids in their costumes.
We had a Bumblebee(Ezra) and an Optimus Prime(River).

Plus we had this adorable "little mermaid".

This year we got to go to Arizona for Thanksgiving. We had Thanksgiving at Joe's grandmas house. There was so much good food. Everyone was excited to meet Cora.
Here is a picture of Cora and her Great Grandma, we call her Nana.

Ezra kept asking me if he could have the turkey leg for dinner. I told him I wasn't sure because we were sharing the turkey with a lot of people this year.
Check out the picture....Ezra is eating the giant turkey leg.
It was Ezra's birthday while we were there he got to have a slumber party with his cousins. How could you not have fun when you have and endless supply of plastic cups?Ezra and Jed were so proud of their tower. They would build it, knock it down and then build it even higher.

Whenever we go to Mesa we like to hit one or two of our favorite eating spots. This time it was YC's. Can you say delish? It was so good.
Ezra enjoying his noodles.
Here is Joe enjoying his noodles. He doesn't have time for chopsticks. The YC's must get into his belly as fast as possible.
One of the main reasons for our trip was so we could have Ezra's baptism and Cora's baby blessing with our families. It was a very special day.
Here is our family. Not the best picture, I know.
Joe and Ezra before the baptism.
Our trip was too short to see any of our friends. (Not that we don't love our families) We are planning a trip back to Mesa in August. We think it would be so fun to be able to see our friends while we are there. Usually all of our time is spent with family. So if you are going to be in AZ this summer, we want to hang with you. In fact, I'm calling it, party at Jim and Fern's this summer for our friends. Date and time to be determined closer to summer.
Okay, here is a video that maybe only I think is funny.
This is what the Lasuras do for entertainment.
Really, we think we are so hilarious.

Yea! A new post! Cute pictures of your kids. I have only been out of AZ for 3 years, why have I never heard of YCs? We are headed back in Az, and we do the same, we have to eat out at all our favorite places while we are there. Chipotle, Neds, Petes....
I totally feel your pain when it comes to the cold. But I have come to realize, 25 degrees is nice, as long as it is not snowing! If the sun is out, any temperature is nice. Oh, we are in for a long winter. Snow already? Miserable non-Arizona winters.
what a great update. Alma loves making babies dance. though it is usually one hand on the hip and the other behind the head, makes us laugh every time. Can't wait to see you guys!
Your funny! I enjoyed your rant about the "nice" weather. I came to the same conclusion about Cheyenne- if it's not windy, it's nice. By the way, I love your fam pic at the top of your blog, and all your other pics are cute too! Don't all those cute pictures make you want to become an avid scrapbooker?
sorry about the cold weather. at least it isn't north dakota. up there they think it is warm weather when it is above 0. it is not unusual to see people shoveling snow in shorts.
Joan, I heart your family! You guys are amazing! I can't wait till you come back in the summer. :)
okay first of all, that guy MUST have been joking because that is just too cold! i love all the new pics and i especially love all of cora's cute and funny faces in that video! i can't wait to meet her!
What a cute family. Before you leave Cheyenne you'll have more coats than you ever thought possible, and none of them will be warm enough!
Amazing costumes!
Loved your updates Joan! So exciting you got to come here for a little while! You've been a busy girl!!!! Im with you about the whole 25 degrees thing! Is that guy joking!?!? Unbelieveable! I would die! Love all the pics and glad you shard the video! I think it's hilarious too!
You guys ARE funny!! My sister and I laughed so hard watching the video!
Thanks for the the birthday wish! You are so sweet!
Lots of love!
We are moving to Gilbert, so we want an invite to your little get together in August. Can't wait!
Hmm...since I am ALWAYS in AZ I better see you in August!
Looks like you guys had a great trip to AZ. I can't wait until our little guy gets here and Ben gets a break in training so we can go see our family. I just looked at your weather side bar and it's currently -11*F, so 25*F and sunny is "nice" weather- it's all relative right?
25 degrees is cold! I don't care if you are from WY or not. I was talking to my dad (born and raised and currently living in ID) and we were explaining when we get hot and cold. For me, hot is above 85* and cold is below 65*. For my Dad, hot is above 70* and cold is below 35*. So, 25? Cold. Experts agree.
Also, your kids are cute and I'm glad I got to meet Cora while she was here!
Joan - all you need to do is learn how to ski and all the apparent misery surrounding the cold will be turned into sheer joy :) It's pretty warm over here, could you send some of that snow my way?
Yes I had an excellent time in Alabama soaking up the 80 degree weather. Now I am back in SD and it is, like the bell ringer told you, nice weather--even though it is only like 35 degrees. I feel your pain on the cold thing. Keep warm!
